After a defensive mix-up in MIK Focus ŽILINA's zone, Daniel Malinovský stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislav Vališ came out of the goal and Daniel Malinovský tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarne Vloeberghs in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ladislav Lomnický saved UFC Pivnica from getting behind. Antón Lackovič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the MIK Focus ŽILINA defense, Daniel Malinovský kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ladislav Vališ. The MIK Focus ŽILINA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ladislav Vališ should have stopped the shot. MIK Focus ŽILINA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
