Spectators: 7623 (Terracing: 5773, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 80) Linköping FC's Adrian Mattsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kenneth Stebbing took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rune Mickelsson. Rune Mickelsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Linköping FC defense, Kenneth Stebbing kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Mickelsson. The Linköping FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Mickelsson should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Linköping FC's Orvar Lund got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Linköping FC's goalkeeper Rune Mickelsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Kenneth Stebbing made a precise shot to the right of Rune Mickelsson. Linköping FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After some careless play in the Linköping FC defense, Pan Hai Chao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Mickelsson. The Linköping FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Mickelsson should have stopped the shot. Rune Mickelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Stebbing in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Backlund in the 32nd minute of play forced Linköping FC's goalkeeper Rune Mickelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kenneth Stebbing in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rune Mickelsson saved Linköping FC from getting behind. Linköping FC's Rune Mickelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Stebbing in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Linköping FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Frank Kihlman hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Peter Backlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rune Mickelsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Kenneth Stebbing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köping FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenneth Stebbing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Mickelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Köping FK were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pan Hai Chao to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Kenneth Stebbing lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Rune Mickelsson. Peter Backlund succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. When Kenneth Stebbing came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Köping FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Stebbing couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute Kenneth Stebbing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Mickelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Linköping FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olov Stenström was slow to take the kick. During this time Köping FK's players had a chance to rest. Köping FK's Olov Stenström was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rune Mickelsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Linköping FC's Rune Mickelsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Linköping FC from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute of the match, Pan Hai Chao got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rune Mickelsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 72nd minute of the match Köping FK got a corner. Linköping FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olov Stenström ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Linköping FC booed when Köping FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Stebbing didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Kenneth Stebbing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linköping FC's Rune Mickelsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rune Mickelsson was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Kenneth Stebbing capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kenneth Stebbing really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. 81 minutes into the match, Kenneth Stebbing dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rune Mickelsson, 0-11. Kenneth Stebbing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenneth Stebbing in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rune Mickelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 92 minutes, Kenneth Stebbing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Köping FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenneth Stebbing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Peter Backlund notched a goal, 0-13, to the right of Linköping FC's Rune Mickelsson. Rune Mickelsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Köping FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
