Hami Tuna came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Assyriska-Syrianska's Conny Ahlstedt. But to his dismay, Conny Ahlstedt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Torbjörn Stephansson made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Patrik Billvall sent off a good shot on target. Torbjörn Stephansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Caniggia, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Anders Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Torbjörn Stephansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Kåre Lindkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Assyriska-Syrianska's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kåre Lindkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Conny Ahlstedt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hami Tuna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Band Of Brothers's Patrik Billvall got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Örtendal got free with Hami Tuna in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th match minute, Assyriska-Syrianska was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Johnsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute of the match Patrik Billvall shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Torbjörn Stephansson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Kåre Lindkvist came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Assyriska-Syrianska fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kåre Lindkvist couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per Örtendal in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hami Tuna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per Örtendal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Assyriska-Syrianska fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torbjörn Stephansson should have stopped the shot. Hami Tuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Lindkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torbjörn Stephansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Holmgren in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Band Of Brothers getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Frankie Flambard hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Assyriska-Syrianska walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
