The supporters of Kovlands IF booed when Midtun Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Bø didn't get a good kick on the ball. Espen Husøy lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Midtun Fc a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Frank Tveter, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kovlands IF's Leonard Gregersen. 0-1. Leonard Gregersen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bård Hem, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Jo Øvstebø hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jo Øvstebø's late challenge caught a Kovlands IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jo Øvstebø helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kovlands IF getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Steffen Roth hit a great ball. Steffen Roth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, Kovlands IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Sæterdal to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Kovlands IF's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Westberg came free, but Leonard Gregersen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kovlands IF's Leonard Gregersen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Westberg in the 31st minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Johannes Westberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kovlands IF's Leonard Gregersen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes in the game Johan Sævik did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ruben Sæterdal. Leonard Gregersen came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Midtun Fc's Johannes Westberg. But to his dismay, Johannes Westberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Midtun Fc's Kenneth Woldseth quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Johan Sævik, made in the 44th minute of the game. Leonard Gregersen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Westberg in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Harald Rønningen made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Westberg in the 52nd minute of play forced Kovlands IF's goalkeeper Leonard Gregersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute Johannes Westberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Gregersen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonard Gregersen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Westberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Joakim Bø kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Johannes Westberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonard Gregersen. That made the score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. In the 64th minute Johannes Westberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Gregersen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kovlands IF's Leonard Gregersen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Westberg in the 66th minute of play. Leonard Gregersen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johannes Westberg's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 77th minute, Johannes Westberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Johannes Westberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Johannes Westberg came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Midtun Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Westberg couldn't finish the play. Johannes Westberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Leonard Gregersen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Midtun Fc's Leonard Gregersen threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Johannes Westberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johannes Westberg in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonard Gregersen saved Kovlands IF from getting behind. Bård Hem kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Midtun Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Sæterdal came free, but Roy Jama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Midtun Fc could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kovlands IF throughout the match.
