İskender Baki Sabi might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jo Øverås. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İskender Baki Sabi ran back to his position shaking his head. Jo Øverås took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İskender Baki Sabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Mats Bentsen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tom Røise quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Jan-Arne Krogstad got a free kick in the 13th minute. The supporters of Daustad booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amund Stålesen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Cornel Dinu in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Daustad's Ola Moland. Luis Bonet succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. If İskender Baki Sabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ola Moland kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bonet in the 39th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Tom Røise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daustad's Ola Moland quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Åsnes's Al Wieczorek was substituted for İskender Baki Sabi. In the 53rd minute, Johannes Eklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pejman Zahedi kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Bonet in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tom Røise prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Al Wieczorek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jo Øverås having to make a save. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Mieszko Pilsudski came free, but Tom Røise reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jo Øverås managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Åsnes's Al Wieczorek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Al Wieczorek got free with Jo Øverås in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the game, Daustad's Luis Bonet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tom Røise made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After having played for 87 minutes, Al Wieczorek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Al Wieczorek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jo Øverås made an important save on a dangerous shot by Al Wieczorek in the 88th minute. After 94 played minutes Daustad got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Luc Dehaene. Jo Øverås made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Al Wieczorek sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bonet in the 97th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Tom Røise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Daustad fans cheered their team off the field, for while Åsnes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
