Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Bruno Zuid started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, Dirk Jan de Kort left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sappemeer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Arjen Riemers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wessel Severijnse having to interfere. Jeffrey Means took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert de Ridder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Diemerbrug's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Jan de Kort came free, but Jeffrey Means reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Sappemeer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddy Meppelink to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Arjen Riemers reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wessel Severijnse. The goal made the score 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert de Ridder in the 31st minute of play forced Diemerbrug's goalkeeper Jeffrey Means to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes Diemerbrug got a freekick which was hit by Carsten Zimmer. After 34 played minutes, Sappemeer's Eddy Meppelink shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jeffrey Means came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sappemeer reached it. 35 minutes into the game, Simon van Zeist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jeffrey Means was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Diemerbrug's Dick van der Leegte got a free kick in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Sappemeer's Robert de Ridder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeffrey Means made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Diemerbrug's Jeffrey Means played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert de Ridder in the 47th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Simon van Zeist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Jeffrey Means was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arjen Riemers made a kick off. Jeffrey Means took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Zuid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert de Ridder got free with Jeffrey Means in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon van Zeist kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jeffrey Means made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon van Zeist in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the match, Diemerbrug's goalkeeper Jeffrey Means had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dirk Jan de Kort. When Jan Daelemans fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diemerbrug's protests and gave Jan Daelemans a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Jan Daelemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Zuid in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeffrey Means saved Diemerbrug from getting behind. Wessel Severijnse came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Diemerbrug's Arjen Riemers. But to his dismay, Arjen Riemers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. In the 72nd minute of the match, Bruno Zuid tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jeffrey Means saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Diemerbrug's Jeffrey Means proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Diemerbrug from getting a goal against them. Jeffrey Means showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Zuid in the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Diemerbrug's goalkeeper Jeffrey Means had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert de Ridder. Robert de Ridder took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeffrey Means. Jeffrey Means dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. After a defensive mix-up in Diemerbrug's zone, Bruno Zuid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeffrey Means came out of the goal and Bruno Zuid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Diemerbrug supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sappemeer's performance. The match ended with a win for Sappemeer.
