After a defensive mix-up in SV Almere Squad's zone, Kees Staal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niels-Jan Maes came out of the goal and Kees Staal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 黄庭适 charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 黄庭适 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes SV Almere Squad got a freekick which was hit by 黄庭适. After having played for 36 minutes, Marco van Dongen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espele's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco van Dongen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Espele booed when SV Almere Squad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. 黄庭适 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jelle Steffens came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by SV Almere Squad's Jelle Pruischer. But to his dismay, Jelle Pruischer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albert van der Schans was the one to do the kick off. Klaus Barends kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Niels-Jan Maes made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Kees Staal sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd match minute, SV Almere Squad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 黄庭适 to maneuver through the defense. Marco van Dongen's late challenge caught a SV Almere Squad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco van Dongen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Espele's Marco van Dongen got a free kick in the 64th minute. 68 minutes in the game Joeri Stok did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jelle Pruischer. The tension between the Espele and the SV Almere Squad players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes Espele got a freekick which was hit by Pim Verheije. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kees Staal got free with Niels-Jan Maes in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Marco van Dongen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albert van der Schans struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Jelle Steffens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Almere Squad. In the 87th minute, Jelle Pruischer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jelle Steffens was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 91 played minutes SV Almere Squad got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Makowski. Olaf Nijemanting hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SV Almere Squad fans cheered their team off the field, for while Espele had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
