Spectators: 10865 (Terracing: 8150, Seating: 2499, VIP seats: 216) Juventus F.C.'s Fortunato Muro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örs Bruno in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örs Bruno in the 8th minute of play forced Juventus F.C.'s goalkeeper Fortunato Muro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Örs Bruno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fortunato Muro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 15 minutes, Duran Mukerrem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventus F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Duran Mukerrem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duran Mukerrem got free with Pär Are in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alessandro Buffone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fortunato Muro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pär Are stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duran Mukerrem's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Duran Mukerrem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pär Are made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duran Mukerrem in the 35th minute of play. After 35 minutes, Duran Mukerrem made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Coviolo's Pär Are tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pär Are showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Firman Morientes in the 38th minute of the match. Duran Mukerrem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Coviolo's goalkeeper Pär Are had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duran Mukerrem. 41 minutes into the game, Duran Mukerrem recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pär Are. Duran Mukerrem showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Juventus F.C. made a substitution. Cristian Menendo replaced Duran Mukerrem. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Comunardo Marzoli was the one to do the kick off. Alejandro dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Cristian Menendo made a precise shot to the right of Pär Are. Coviolo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. When Cristian Menendo came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Juventus F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Menendo couldn't finish the play. Cristian Menendo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pär Are having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Cristian Menendo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventus F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Menendo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pär Are breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pär Are made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Menendo in the 62nd minute of play. Cristian Menendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Pär Are tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juventus F.C.'s Dennis Iezzi was substituted for Firman Morientes. 73 minutes into the match, Coviolo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Menendo came free, but Pär Are reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Menendo took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pär Are. Pär Are dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After 84 minutes of play, Juventus F.C.'s Cristian Menendo made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pär Are was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Iezzi in the 87th minute of play forced Coviolo's goalkeeper Pär Are to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alejandro dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juventus F.C. were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Coviolo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amos Bellone took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Coviolo's goalie and right to Dennis Iezzi. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Coviolo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Juventus F.C.'s Cristian Menendo in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coviolo's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Juventus F.C. had played much better football throughout.
