Pavao Nemet might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Barrionuevo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavao Nemet ran back to his position shaking his head. The Lipovljani fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Lipovljani's Domagoj Grković looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Neven Prohaska made in the 9th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Grga Frković. 14 minutes into the match, Lipovljani's Domagoj Grković sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Višeslav Berend narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Domagoj Grković cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Višeslav Berend was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Pavao Nemet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Lipovljani's Domagoj Grković got a free kick in the 29th minute. Višeslav Berend stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domagoj Grković's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The supporters of Povratnici booed when Lipovljani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tihomir Antić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Barrionuevo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavao Nemet in the 41st minute of the match. Višeslav Berend showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domagoj Grković, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
