Jonny Mantel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theis Gerhof, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amager FC's Kenneth Strandsgaard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Amager FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Amager FC's zone, Absalon Valfos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Strandsgaard came out of the goal and Absalon Valfos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eilif Rosholm in the 22nd minute of play forced Amager FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Strandsgaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eilif Rosholm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenneth Strandsgaard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Eilif Rosholm might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Strandsgaard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eilif Rosholm ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute Theis Gerhof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonny Mantel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Amager FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Kiko De la Cuadra hit a great ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Odense Boldklub were victorious despite being under pressure from Amager FC for much of the match.
