Lorenzo Bermudez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Bobby Vanooteghem made a huge save. Weverton van Beek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikolaj Tomaszewski in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Dare to dream again's Mikolaj Tomaszewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Weverton van Beek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Dare to dream again's Bobby Vanooteghem got control of the ball when Louis Snyers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dare to dream again were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Liernu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Niki Neesens took the corner. In the 20th minute Louis Snyers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobby Vanooteghem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Carel Stuycken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liernu's goalkeeper Weverton van Beek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30thth minute of the game Mikolaj Tomaszewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liernu's Weverton van Beek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Weverton van Beek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niki Neesens's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Louis Snyers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bobby Vanooteghem came out and tried to block the shot, but Louis Snyers slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 40th minute. Mikolaj Tomaszewski took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Weverton van Beek. Weverton van Beek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 46th minute, Michael Colebrants hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Dare to dream again booed when Liernu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mikolaj Tomaszewski to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Niki Neesens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dare to dream again's supporters rose to their feet, but Niki Neesens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Weverton van Beek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikolaj Tomaszewski in the 55th minute of play forced Liernu's goalkeeper Weverton van Beek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikolaj Tomaszewski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Weverton van Beek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liernu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Niki Neesens was slow to take the kick. During this time Dare to dream again's players had a chance to rest. Bobby Vanooteghem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis Snyers in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute Sprunger Fasting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobby Vanooteghem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niki Neesens got free with Weverton van Beek in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dare to dream again walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
