An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanniek Matthijs in the 19th minute of play forced FC Soccer Bears's goalkeeper Gösta Smed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gösta Smed came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Liernu's Louis Snyers. But to his dismay, Louis Snyers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When FC Soccer Bears's Stephen Pelgrims in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stephen Pelgrims in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Weverton van Beek saved Liernu from getting behind. Gösta Smed showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yanniek Matthijs in the 39th minute of the match. Antonio Daniels got a throw-in 42 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tijs Van Den Brande. In the 43rd minute Stephen Pelgrims shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weverton van Beek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stephen Pelgrims stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Liernu getting a freekick after 52 minutes play.
