Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Andy Joppe made the kick off which started today's match. Patrik Gerolstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Klaus Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Peter Reiners had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SK Sturm II's zone, Jan Zahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaus Koehler came out of the goal and Jan Zahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerhard Handke made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Bernd Unterligauer sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernd Unterligauer got free with Gerhard Handke in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patrik Gerolstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Koehler having to interfere. If Peter Reiners had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Michael-Jan Thurnberger fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Sturm II's protests and gave Michael-Jan Thurnberger a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes SK Sturm II got a freekick which was hit by Michael-Jan Thurnberger. 42 minutes into the match, SK Sturm II's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Gerolstein came free, but Klaus Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Zahl might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klaus Koehler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Zahl ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Aumann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Felix Aumann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Feuerzwerge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half FC Feuerzwerge were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 59th minute, Bernd Unterligauer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Sturm II fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Andy Joppe came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the SK Sturm II fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andy Joppe couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the game, Stefan Henrich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Feuerzwerge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Sturm II the free kick. After having played for 76 minutes, Andy Joppe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Sturm II's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Joppe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andy Joppe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Patrik Gerolstein got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alexander Ramusch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Klaus Koehler having to make a save. Gerhard Handke came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Sturm II's Andy Joppe. But to his dismay, Andy Joppe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The SK Sturm II support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
