Kai-Uwe Bartek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. International Thunders were furious when Julien-Nils Freeh was red carded, 36 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 37th minute, Julien-Nils Freeh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind International Thunders's goalkeeper Rouven Nussli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The BiBa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. BiBa's Patrik Bruhn was substituted for Yanick Wils. 82 minutes into the match, BiBa's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Bäuschlein came free, but Kai-Uwe Bartek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Jelle Knopper recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kai-Uwe Bartek. Jelle Knopper showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by BiBa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlo Gerick was slow to take the kick. During this time International Thunders's players had a chance to rest. The corner led International Thunders's Percival Costa to fire away a dangerous shot which Kai-Uwe Bartek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, International Thunders's Arthur Damm got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 95 minutes, Jelle Knopper mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the International Thunders and the BiBa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jelle Knopper hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The International Thunders supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing International Thunders would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
