Alberto Nazzaro charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Nazzaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to LIVERPOOL FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Alberto Nazzaro hit a great ball. When Tiberiu Caramarin fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MIT Craiova's protests and gave Tiberiu Caramarin a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Caramarin. After 10 minutes, Aurel Corlățean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LIVERPOOL FC and the MIT Craiova players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, LIVERPOOL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Corlățean to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jiang Chong Yuan got free with Emanuel Blajovan in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MIT Craiova's Tiberiu Caramarin got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kjell Kämpe made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MIT Craiova's David Tunander. Tiberiu Caramarin scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Qian Ying Lang, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 35 minutes of play, MIT Craiova's Tiberiu Caramarin made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Qian Ying Lang was left in no man's land by his defense there! LIVERPOOL FC's Qian Ying Lang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Alberto Nazzaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Blajovan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiberiu Caramarin made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiberiu Caramarin in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Qian Ying Lang saved LIVERPOOL FC from getting behind. The corner led MIT Craiova's Mihăiţă Ilarie to fire away a dangerous shot which Qian Ying Lang despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tiberiu Caramarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Qian Ying Lang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. MIT Craiova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mihăiţă Ilarie in the 57th minute. The corner led to MIT Craiova's David Tunander getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Caramarin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Qian Ying Lang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Qian Ying Lang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 62nd minute of the match. After 67 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Ilarie. LIVERPOOL FC made a substitution. Mihnea Iosub replaced Jiang Chong Yuan. Mihăiţă Ilarie hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. With a little luck, LIVERPOOL FC's Qian Ying Lang got control of the ball when Mihăiţă Ilarie tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute, MIT Craiova's Mihăiţă Ilarie ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Qian Ying Lang. Qian Ying Lang yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Qian Ying Lang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Nicodim Orășan could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Qian Ying Lang however easily saved by the left post. 81 minutes into the game, MIT Craiova's Dorin Banu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Qian Ying Lang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 93rd minute of play forced LIVERPOOL FC's goalkeeper Qian Ying Lang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicodim Orășan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Qian Ying Lang when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The MIT Craiova supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MIT Craiova would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
