Spectators: 6691 (Terracing: 5691, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Khortos FC's Vaggelis Kyriakidis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Themis Peridis got free with Paris Maintanos in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eugenios Kalouptsidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fotis Chatzidimos in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Nikos Kioubouroglou notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Khortos FC's Paris Maintanos. Paris Maintanos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vaggelis Kyriakidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eugenios Kalouptsidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petros Anastasakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Paris Maintanos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Kioubouroglou in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Markos Tzitzikas during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of PANATHINAIKOS booed when Khortos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markos Tzitzikas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Khortos FC's goalkeeper Paris Maintanos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikos Kioubouroglou. Khortos FC's Paris Maintanos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Khortos FC from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute, PANATHINAIKOS's Anthimos Bouloubasis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. A collision led to PANATHINAIKOS getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Anthimos Bouloubasis hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After having played for 61 minutes, Nikos Kioubouroglou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PANATHINAIKOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikos Kioubouroglou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Khortos FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Takis Pentedekas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petros Anastasakis in the 76th minute of play forced PANATHINAIKOS's goalkeeper Eugenios Kalouptsidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Petros Anastasakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenios Kalouptsidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Vaggelis Kyriakidis could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Eugenios Kalouptsidis however easily saved by the left post. When Alkis Spiliotis came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the PANATHINAIKOS fans jumped to their feet. When the referee ended the match the PANATHINAIKOS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
