Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Sheriff from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Tabachana F.C.'s Denílson Tepedino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yahia van der Saar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led to Tabachana F.C.'s Nikos Papaggelakis getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Yahia van der Saar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tabachana F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
