The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zheng Yang Zhen in the 6th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Scarafia Ghost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Özbek Samet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Bâru. In the 16th minute Sotiris Zacharakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scarafia Ghost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Özbek Samet got control of the ball when Iustin Bâru tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Go Ahead Eagles players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ΠΑΟΚ FC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iustin Bâru to strike the kick off in the second half. King 张林鹏 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Özbek Samet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Bâru in the 55th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Özbek Samet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Özbek Samet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Bâru, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 73 minutes of play, Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Özbek Samet was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iustin Bâru might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Özbek Samet.
