Kai Havertz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yağızalp Sayyad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Gunnar Ekrot made in the 14th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Evaristo Ponte however managed to control. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Conqueror's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Philippe Albert was slow to take the kick. During this time Bozkurt's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Bozkurt's Ömer Eymen to fire away a dangerous shot which Yağızalp Sayyad despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcell Jacobs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 30 minutes, Uğur Akdurmuş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Conqueror's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uğur Akdurmuş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Kai Havertz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yağızalp Sayyad. The Conqueror's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kai Havertz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 36th minute Kai Havertz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yağızalp Sayyad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bozkurt's Iason Kazantzidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uğur Akdurmuş in the 37th minute of play. Iason Kazantzidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uğur Akdurmuş, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. A collision led to The Conqueror getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Celal Erçetin hit a great ball. Uğur Akdurmuş took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iason Kazantzidis. Iason Kazantzidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Celal Erçetin hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The supporters of Bozkurt booed when The Conqueror was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celal Erçetin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Uğur Akdurmuş made a kick off. When Kai Havertz came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Bozkurt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kai Havertz couldn't finish the play. Uğur Akdurmuş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iason Kazantzidis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Ponte in the 59th minute of play forced Bozkurt's goalkeeper Iason Kazantzidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62ndth minute of the game Kai Havertz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Conqueror's Yağızalp Sayyad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bozkurt's Muhammet Çetinel was substituted for Ergün Benlioğlu. Uğur Akdurmuş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Iason Kazantzidis made a huge save. The Conqueror were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Bozkurt's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Víctor López took the corner. After 81 played minutes, The Conqueror's Víctor López shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iason Kazantzidis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Conqueror reached it. In the 82nd match minute, Bozkurt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gökçe Yalazalp to maneuver through the defense. The Conqueror's Ahmet Kutsi Gençyaz was substituted for Celal Erçetin. A collision led to Bozkurt getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Gökçe Yalazalp hit a great ball. Uğur Akdurmuş in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iason Kazantzidis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bozkurt's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bozkurt's Marcell Jacobs got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bozkurt's Iason Kazantzidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Ponte in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bozkurt fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Conqueror had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
