Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sami Veikkanen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mahdy Ismail took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pikanate Savetvet. Pikanate Savetvet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Tawan Maspakorn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Bernal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sami Veikkanen having to make a save. Piyapong Jamjai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahdy Ismail in the 38th minute of play forced Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's goalkeeper Pikanate Savetvet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Olympique de Marseille's goalkeeper Sami Veikkanen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domenec Cediel. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mahdy Ismail to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanasit Morpeak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Pikanate Savetvet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 54 minutes, Domenec Cediel made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Olympique de Marseille's Sami Veikkanen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Bernal in the 57th minute of play forced Olympique de Marseille's goalkeeper Sami Veikkanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tawan Maspakorn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pikanate Savetvet having to interfere. Sadayut Thanateerasud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Pikanate Savetvet made a huge save. 63 minutes into the game, Tawan Maspakorn recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pikanate Savetvet. Tawan Maspakorn showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. In the 68th minute, Olympique de Marseille's Tawan Maspakorn ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pikanate Savetvet. Pikanate Savetvet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. The supporters of Olympique de Marseille booed when Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piyapong Jamjai didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri got a freekick which was hit by Piyapong Jamjai. Tawan Maspakorn kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Sami Veikkanen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenec Cediel in the 82nd minute of the match. Mahdy Ismail fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pikanate Savetvet having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Domenec Cediel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenec Cediel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 played minutes Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri got a freekick which was hit by Domenec Cediel. Pikanate Savetvet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aekkapong Luabunnum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olympique de Marseille's Sami Veikkanen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warayu Plpl in the 88th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
