After 4 played minutes Mount Pleasant FC got a freekick which was hit by Cain Barker. After 8 played minutes Mount Pleasant FC got a freekick which was hit by Ollie Norwood. Thanks to some nice moves Carlisle Fenwick could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Aaron Ramsdal however easily saved by the left post. The corner led Boroondara Milan's Benjy Muller to fire away a dangerous shot which Aaron Ramsdal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlisle Fenwick in the 21st minute of play forced Mount Pleasant FC's goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Dallas Kuch came free, but Martyon Diehl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martyon Diehl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ollie Norwood in the 25th minute of the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Paco Everett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boroondara Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paco Everett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute Dallas Kuch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyon Diehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Carlisle Fenwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Ramsdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Boroondara Milan booed when Mount Pleasant FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cain Barker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martyon Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dallas Kuch, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Aaron Ramsdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlisle Fenwick in the 40th minute. Paco Everett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Ramsdal having to interfere. With a little luck, Mount Pleasant FC's Aaron Ramsdal got control of the ball when Carlisle Fenwick tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ollie Norwood to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's Carlisle Fenwick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Ramsdal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aaron Ramsdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlisle Fenwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlisle Fenwick in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Ramsdal saved Mount Pleasant FC from getting behind. Dallas Kuch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Martyon Diehl made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Randell Gledden came free, but Martyon Diehl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Ramsdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Drake Sobczak in the 68th minute of the match. Carlisle Fenwick took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aaron Ramsdal. Aaron Ramsdal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Aaron Ramsdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlisle Fenwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cain Barker during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cain Barker hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Boroondara Milan's Kris Pearse was substituted for Paco Everett. Mount Pleasant FC's Aaron Ramsdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlisle Fenwick in the 75th minute of play. Aaron Ramsdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlisle Fenwick in the 77th minute of play. Aaron Ramsdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlisle Fenwick in the 79th minute of the match. Carlisle Fenwick struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Aaron Ramsdal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boroondara Milan. In the 85th minute, Rodney Buckland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute of the match Ned Mills shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Ramsdal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aaron Ramsdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlisle Fenwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 89 minutes Mount Pleasant FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ned Mills who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Carlisle Fenwick almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mount Pleasant FC's Aaron Ramsdal did a great save. Aaron Ramsdal came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Boroondara Milan's Jason Sperling. But to his dismay, Jason Sperling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Boroondara Milan's Carlisle Fenwick in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mount Pleasant FC's goalie prevented a goal. Boroondara Milan were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mount Pleasant FC for a fine match.
