A collision led to We Lose All The Matches getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. David Howard hit a great ball. Murdock Reisz made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Arty Thorne sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the game, Rutgers Utd's Reese Laing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emerson Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Rutgers Utd's Murdock Reisz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Rutgers Utd from getting a goal against them. Arty Thorne's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Murdock Reisz firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Al Allen in the 28th minute of play forced We Lose All The Matches's goalkeeper Emerson Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Albert Schoenke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Raymond Egel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murdock Reisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Benson in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Rutgers Utd's Murdock Reisz got control of the ball when Berry Telfer tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 39 played minutes We Lose All The Matches got a freekick which was hit by Ray Hardiman. After a defensive mix-up in We Lose All The Matches's zone, Reese Laing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Leão came out of the goal and Reese Laing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Berry Telfer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bryden Miels to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, We Lose All The Matches's goalkeeper Emerson Leão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bradford Breasley. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Howard in the 55th minute of play forced We Lose All The Matches's goalkeeper Emerson Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rutgers Utd's Murdock Reisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arty Thorne in the 58th minute of play. Arty Thorne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murdock Reisz having to interfere. Murdock Reisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arty Thorne in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, We Lose All The Matches's Arty Thorne got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Al Allen in the 69th minute of play forced We Lose All The Matches's goalkeeper Emerson Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 73 minutes into the match, Rutgers Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Berry Telfer came free, but Murdock Reisz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murdock Reisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arty Thorne in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Raymond Egel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. We Lose All The Matches's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Egel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arty Thorne took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murdock Reisz. Murdock Reisz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.
