The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Knaggel FC's Humphry Chant made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barnabas Clinton was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Knaggel FC booed when Perth Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conner Saisell didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Perth Glory's goal looked a bit too open when Humphry Chant came free, but Barnabas Clinton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barnabas Clinton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Kvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Barnabas Clinton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humphry Chant went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Barnabas Clinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humphry Chant in the 14th minute of play. Amos Mcinnes kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Knaggel FC's Barnes Garing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barnabas Clinton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Barnabas Clinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Máté Kodály in the 23rd minute of play. Barnabas Clinton came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Knaggel FC's Barnes Garing. But to his dismay, Barnes Garing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Barnabas Clinton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humphry Chant in the 29th minute of the match. Knaggel FC's Selim Tuğbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie Minter in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Humphry Chant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Knaggel FC's Bengt-Åke Kvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barnabas Clinton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After 39 played minutes Knaggel FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Sawbridge. If Howie Merz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 40 minutes into the match, Knaggel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Howie Merz came free, but Selim Tuğbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barnabas Clinton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnes Garing in the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 minutes of play, Knaggel FC's Barnes Garing made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barnabas Clinton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bengt-Åke Kvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnabas Clinton having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jamie Minter to make the kick off. Barnabas Clinton was a little too slow when Barnes Garing got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-7. 57 minutes into the match, Knaggel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Orvad came free, but Selim Tuğbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Aaron Orvad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Selim Tuğbay. Knaggel FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaron Orvad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Perth Glory's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Humphry Chant scored to the left of an out of position Barnabas Clinton, making the score, 1-8. After having played for 65 minutes, Bryan Boyd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perth Glory's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryan Boyd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt-Åke Kvist during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 played minutes Knaggel FC got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Åke Kvist. Perth Glory's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Humphry Chant scored to the left of an out of position Barnabas Clinton, making the score, 1-10. Knaggel FC made a substitution. Clark Missen replaced Bengt-Åke Kvist. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnes Garing in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barnabas Clinton saved Perth Glory from getting behind. After some careless play in the Perth Glory defense, Barnes Garing kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barnabas Clinton. The Perth Glory fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barnabas Clinton should have stopped the shot. Humphry Chant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barnabas Clinton having to make a save. When Máté Kodály came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Knaggel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Máté Kodály couldn't finish the play. The Perth Glory fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Knaggel FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
