The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Knaggel FC! Selim Tuğbay went to the wrong direction when Kevin Perandis was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 6th match minute, Knaggel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dallas Ashwin to maneuver through the defense. After 7 minutes of play, Darwin Saville FC's Bartosz Sochacki made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Selim Tuğbay was left in no man's land by his defense there! 14 minutes into the match, Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Carman Tinsley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Máté Kodály. In the 15th match minute, Knaggel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rio Sianturi to maneuver through the defense. Bengt-Åke Kvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Carman Tinsley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartosz Sochacki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Bartosz Sochacki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Darwin Saville FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 32nd minute Jan-Olof Kinell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selim Tuğbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knaggel FC's Bart Thorne quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Knaggel FC's Selim Tuğbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Kinell in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan-Olof Kinell made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Bartosz Sochacki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Darwin Saville FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartosz Sochacki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Selim Tuğbay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute Knaggel FC were awarded a corner. Humphry Chant went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Barnes Garing to score against Carman Tinsley in Darwin Saville FC's goal. 2-2 after 55 minutes. Rio Sianturi hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Knaggel FC defense, Kevin Perandis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Selim Tuğbay. The Knaggel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Selim Tuğbay should have stopped the shot. Bartosz Sochacki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Selim Tuğbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Olof Kinell in the 68th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barnes Garing during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Selim Tuğbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Olof Kinell in the 70th minute of play. Knaggel FC's Bengt-Åke Kvist got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Knaggel FC's Lawrence Bonnison got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Darwin Saville FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
