Malibu Soccer Beach's Rory Whitlock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Malibu Soccer Beach from getting a goal against them. When Reuben Thorne fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malibu Soccer Beach's protests and gave Reuben Thorne a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Malibu Soccer Beach got a freekick which was hit by Reuben Thorne. The crowd rose to their feet as New England Minas's Edgardo Silva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rory Whitlock. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice moves Edgardo Silva could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Rory Whitlock however easily saved by the left post. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Malibu Soccer Beach! The audience was convinced that Edgardo Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rory Whitlock was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 30th minute Winford Parson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Alperen Öksüz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Rory Whitlock was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the match, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rory Whitlock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory Whitlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rory Whitlock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Silva's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Alperen Öksüz kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Edgardo Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New England Minas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgardo Silva scored 4-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rory Whitlock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

After 51 played minutes Malibu Soccer Beach got a freekick which was hit by Asher Mann. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Silva in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rory Whitlock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgardo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Silva in the 56th minute of play forced Malibu Soccer Beach's goalkeeper Rory Whitlock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Winford Parson charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Winford Parson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Malibu Soccer Beach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winford Parson to maneuver through the defense. New England Minas's Tio Lio was substituted for Edgardo Silva. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Malibu Soccer Beach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Winford Parson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Vince Cleveland came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tio Lio came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the New England Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tio Lio couldn't finish the play. Rory Whitlock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Pacheco in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Asher Mann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malibu Soccer Beach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New England Minas the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Tio Lio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New England Minas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 80th minute Tio Lio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory Whitlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute Tio Lio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory Whitlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tio Lio scored 6-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rory Whitlock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Malibu Soccer Beach's Felipe Valencia was substituted for Antonio Marquez. Asher Mann got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Malibu Soccer Beach getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Asher Mann hit a great ball. Tio Lio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tio Lio in the 94th minute of play forced Malibu Soccer Beach's goalkeeper Rory Whitlock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that New England Minas were the better team. New England Minas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
