Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jim Mitchell started the match with the kick off. Dale Kirkpatrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Love read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 9thth minute of the game Jim Mitchell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but University of Rochester's Drew Casey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dale Kirkpatrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Love read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match University of Rochester got a corner. Margaret Atwood Impact's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wawrzyniec Damaski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Drew Casey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Dalton in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dale Kirkpatrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Christopher Love tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Ernesto Cao Xiao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jim Mitchell, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dale Kirkpatrick kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Drew Casey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Mitchell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Margaret Atwood Impact booed when University of Rochester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxwell Calcagnini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dale Kirkpatrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Love read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, University of Rochester's Tyrell Pitts got a free kick in the 44th minute. It was beautiful to see Margaret Atwood Impact's Jim Mitchell in action when he in the 47th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dale Kirkpatrick was the one to do the kick off. Christopher Love showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Kirkpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Mitchell got free with Drew Casey in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dale Kirkpatrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Love read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Drew Casey made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Michael Dalton sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in University of Rochester's zone, Mathew Gunter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drew Casey came out of the goal and Mathew Gunter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christopher Love stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dale Kirkpatrick's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, Dale Kirkpatrick notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Margaret Atwood Impact's Christopher Love. Christopher Love was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kyle Hay hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Margaret Atwood Impact's Christopher Love played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Kirkpatrick in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Kirkpatrick in the 81st minute of play forced Margaret Atwood Impact's goalkeeper Christopher Love to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Bryon Little heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, University of Rochester's Wayne Bragg got a free kick in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Dale Kirkpatrick notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Margaret Atwood Impact's Christopher Love. Christopher Love was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Drew Casey made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Michael Dalton sent off a good shot on target. Michael Dalton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Drew Casey having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle, University of Rochester could leave the field as winners, despite Margaret Atwood Impact having more of the ball for most of the match.
