The Rapid Bucharest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ştefan Ifrim should have stopped the shot. Ştefan Ifrim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zula Okopny in the 30th minute. Sever Nandriș charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sever Nandriș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Rapid Bucharest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Nandriș to maneuver through the defense. Ştefan Ifrim was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Ştefan Ifrim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milosz Kowalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

Rapid Bucharest's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 16-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zula Okopny in the 89th minute of play forced Rapid Bucharest's goalkeeper Ştefan Ifrim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Purple Shadows fully deserved thier win.
