After having played for 9 minutes, Leif Offendahl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sundens BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leif Offendahl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lan Šorli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leif Offendahl's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The supporters of Sundens BK booed when HIT Gorica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duško Turnšek didn't get a good kick on the ball. HIT Gorica's Lan Šorli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Offendahl in the 13th minute of play. Leif Offendahl received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lan Šorli came out and tried to block the shot, but Leif Offendahl slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. A collision led to Sundens BK getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Leif Offendahl hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Lan Šorli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Offendahl in the 23rd minute of play forced HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Lan Šorli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Zlato Gorišek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Offendahl struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Lan Šorli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sundens BK. After 27 minutes of play, Sundens BK's Peder Gernberg made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lan Šorli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Lan Šorli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the HIT Gorica defense, Leif Offendahl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lan Šorli. The HIT Gorica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lan Šorli should have stopped the shot. If Leif Offendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lan Šorli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Offendahl in the 43rd minute of play. Leif Offendahl received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lan Šorli came out and tried to block the shot, but Leif Offendahl slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leif Offendahl to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Gert Wickander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sundens BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HIT Gorica the free kick. Sundens BK's Leif Offendahl got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lan Šorli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Gernberg in the 63rd minute of play. When Leif Offendahl came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Sundens BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Offendahl couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Leif Offendahl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lan Šorli was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. The supporters of Sundens BK booed when HIT Gorica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zlato Gorišek didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 minutes, Klavdij Kavtičnik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HIT Gorica and the Sundens BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Klavdij Kavtičnik kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match Jan-Ove Lindmark shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lan Šorli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Konstantin Pančur was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 75 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in HIT Gorica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Lan Šorli came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sundens BK's Peder Gernberg. But to his dismay, Peder Gernberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Lan Šorli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Offendahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peder Gernberg struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Lan Šorli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sundens BK. Lan Šorli came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Sundens BK's Peder Gernberg. But to his dismay, Peder Gernberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Peder Gernberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lan Šorli having to make a save. Sundens BK's Peder Gernberg got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Peder Gernberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sundens BK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
