Palestra do Interior's I-Made Factor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra do Interior from getting a goal against them. Palestra do Interior's I-Made Factor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vern Wright in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Percival Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyd Winkler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match Palestra do Interior got a corner. Pueblo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celsinho Vidal ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Celsinho Vidal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carson Titus in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck I-Made Factor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Palestra do Interior's I-Made Factor got control of the ball when Carson Titus tried to sneak it across the goal line. I-Made Factor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vern Wright in the 25th minute. Palestra do Interior's I-Made Factor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyrus Strickland in the 26th minute of play. I-Made Factor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vern Wright in the 27th minute of play. Celsinho Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Palestra do Interior's I-Made Factor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra do Interior from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute Vern Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but I-Made Factor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Godoi in the 39th minute of play. Percival Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Boyd Winkler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Godoi to make the kick off. Celsinho Vidal lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Palestra do Interior:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pueblo FC:s goal. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Pueblo FC. Dana Mahoney stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving I-Made Factor. 1-0. Palestra do Interior's I-Made Factor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyrus Strickland in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Paulo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyd Winkler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Romário Barbosa replaced Percival Cruz. Romário Barbosas short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Boyd Winkler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romário Barbosa in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Velasco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boyd Winkler. That made the score 1-2 in the 80 minute of play.
