The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lyle Flanagan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tio Lio in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tio Lio in the 5th minute of play forced EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goalkeeper Lyle Flanagan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Stig-Ove Möller in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New England Minas's goalie prevented a goal. The corner ended in Jerson Gonzales almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas did a great save. If Stig-Ove Möller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. New England Minas's attentive Alperen Öksüz managed to snatch the ball when Gordie Mosquera made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. Alperen Öksüz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match Jerson Gonzales shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeremy Nicholas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Ove Möller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Ove Möller in the 18th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Ove Möller came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lyle Flanagan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tio Lio in the 20th minute of play. The throw-in from Gordie Mosquera in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by New England Minas's Glen Conklin. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Tio Lio managed to get in a good position for a shot. New England Minas's supporters rose to their feet, but Tio Lio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lyle Flanagan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lyle Flanagan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tio Lio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Dias in the 35th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Bart Timmons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Dias in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Gordie Mosquera got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Tio Lio made the kick off in the second half. Lyle Flanagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pacheco in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Giuseppe Conway got a free kick in the 56th minute. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reginaldo Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Tony Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyle Flanagan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Tio Lio came free, but Lyle Flanagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New England Minas's Emmitt Benson was substituted for Alperen Öksüz. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Marshall Medina was substituted for Bart Timmons. New England Minas's Edgardo Silva was substituted for Tio Lio. New England Minas's attentive Emmitt Benson managed to snatch the ball when Gordie Mosquera made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giuseppe Conway. Despite this Jeremy Nicholas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 82 minutes, Tony Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New England Minas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Pacheco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Emmitt Benson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Lyle Flanagan. Lyle Flanagan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stig-Ove Möller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremy Nicholas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of New England Minas booed when EL LOBO DE MIAMI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gordie Mosquera didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Tingberg came free, but Lyle Flanagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the EL LOBO DE MIAMI players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for New England Minas.
