Santos FC's Warren Ruiz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Randy Whitten in the 6 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Turner got free with Devin Purvis in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 9th minute of play forced Bermuda Dunes FC's goalkeeper Devin Purvis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos FC were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Bermuda Dunes FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dominic Albright took the corner. The corner led Santos FC's Cesar Small to fire away a dangerous shot which Devin Purvis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lanny Gilmore let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 12th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. If Lanny Gilmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Bermuda Dunes FC's Omar Johnson got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Santos FC were awarded a corner. Dominic Albright went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Titus Kohler during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bermuda Dunes FC made a substitution. Sal Montgomery replaced Abraham Mora. 23 minutes into the game, one of Santos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Devin Purvis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Santos FC's goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Devin Purvis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Devin Purvis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lanny Gilmore showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. Devin Purvis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Lanny Gilmore took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Devin Purvis. Devin Purvis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Devin Purvis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 43rd minute of the match. Devin Purvis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lanny Gilmore was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Randy Whitten in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Santos FC's Mike Richardson. Randy Whitten made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Santos FC's Warren Ruiz. Lanny Gilmore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Devin Purvis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Turner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Arturo Turner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Devin Purvis was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Bermuda Dunes FC's zone, Arturo Turner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Devin Purvis came out of the goal and Arturo Turner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Devin Purvis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Tory Weeks suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 70 minutes into the game, Omar Johnson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bermuda Dunes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos FC the free kick. In the 71st minute, Omar Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Lanny Gilmore had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Devin Purvis. Bermuda Dunes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lanny Gilmore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. In the 79th minute Lanny Gilmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Devin Purvis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dominic Albright in the 81st minute. It was a well-played corner which Lanny Gilmore managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lanny Gilmore in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Devin Purvis saved Bermuda Dunes FC from getting behind. 89 minutes into the game, Arturo Turner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Devin Purvis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the game, Randy Whitten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bermuda Dunes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos FC the free kick. Randy Whitten hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Santos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bermuda Dunes FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
