In the 10th minute Toussaint Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarando Calva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Vitin Corzana almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vancouver Reds's Santana Armada did a great save. After some careless play in the Vancouver Reds defense, Vitin Corzana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santana Armada. The Vancouver Reds fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santana Armada should have stopped the shot. After 19 played minutes Ríver Late got a freekick which was hit by Serhat Oytunç. Ríver Late's Zarando Calva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ríver Late from getting a goal against them. Zarando Calva was a little too slow when Wágner Recife got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Vancouver Reds's Kemal Davarcı ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zarando Calva. Zarando Calva yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Kemal Davarcı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarando Calva having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Zarando Calva successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Ríver Late getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alexander Driel hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Kemal Davarcı made a precise shot to the right of Zarando Calva. Ríver Late's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Ríver Late's Zarando Calva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ríver Late from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute of the match Vancouver Reds got a corner. Ríver Late's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rüştü Kadim ran over to the corner to take the kick. Santana Armada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serhat Oytunç, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute.
