Spectators: 206 (Terracing: 155, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) After a defensive mix-up in Vancouver Reds's zone, Rodney Hagen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santana Armada came out of the goal and Rodney Hagen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute Toussaint Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Marcantonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Robby Kelley. In the 15th minute, Rodney Hagen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Alfonso Marcantonio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Miami Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Victor Krum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santana Armada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chance Adams's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Santana Armada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chance Adams, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 31st match minute, Vancouver Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Recife to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute Chance Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santana Armada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vancouver Reds's Santana Armada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Hagen in the 40th minute of play. After 47 minutes Vancouver Reds's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexis Hoover who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Racing Miami Futbol Club's Alexis Hoover to fire away a dangerous shot which Santana Armada despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Racing Miami Futbol Club's Larry Cermak was substituted for Rolland Kellogg. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodney Hagen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Chance Adams who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vancouver Reds's Santana Armada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 54th minute of the match Racing Miami Futbol Club got a corner. Vancouver Reds's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexis Hoover ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alfonso Marcantonio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kemal Davarcı in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Kemal Davarcı came free, but Alfonso Marcantonio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Recife in the 75th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Alfonso Marcantonio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rodrigo Ferdinand fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vancouver Reds's protests and gave Rodrigo Ferdinand a yellow card for diving instead. Alfonso Marcantonio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Recife in the 77th minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match Vancouver Reds got a corner.
