Spectators: 209 (Terracing: 157, Seating: 48, VIP seats: 4) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wágner Recife started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Art Rhoades's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zarando Calva was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Abraão helped the player get up and apologised. 26 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Reynaldo Paquette had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xavies Muñagorri. Vancouver Reds made a substitution. Rodrigo Ferdinand replaced Art Rhoades. Reynaldo Paquette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Bernes in the 35th minute of play. Ríver Late made a substitution. Chaime Delgadillo replaced Lucjan Penkalski. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xavies Muñagorri made a kick off. A collision led to Ríver Late getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ariel Bernes hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Vancouver Reds's Rüştü Kadim in action when he in the 55th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 56 minutes into the game, John O'Neal threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vancouver Reds's Jakub Kiwior quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Rodrigo Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vancouver Reds's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Ferdinand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavies Muñagorri scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Paquette, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Åke Isaksson made in the 82nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Toussaint Alvarez immediately put the ball in play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Ariel Bernes put in a rough tackle. In the 85th minute, one of Ríver Late:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ríver Late. After some careless play in the Ríver Late defense, Wágner Recife kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zarando Calva. The Ríver Late fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zarando Calva should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toussaint Alvarez during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes Vancouver Reds got a freekick which was hit by Toussaint Alvarez. Rodrigo Ferdinands short, quick shot in the 99thth minute got Zarando Calva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
