In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Emiliano Marcó, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mati Fernández could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Zaquiel Padilla made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Benites in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Marcó prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Benites came free, but Emiliano Marcó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
