The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Van Horn's Tanner Arden got control of the ball when Tyrell Tharp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tanner Arden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Raines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Van Horn's Stevie Horner got a free kick in the 7th minute. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Alfonso Raines took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tanner Arden to make any attempt to save it. If Tyrell Tharp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Van Horn's zone, Alfonso Raines stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tanner Arden came out of the goal and Alfonso Raines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Tyrell Tharp managed to get in a good position for a shot. LKS Orkan Zapalow's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyrell Tharp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tanner Arden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of LKS Orkan Zapalow booed when Van Horn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stevie Horner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tanner Arden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Raines's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute Alfonso Raines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanner Arden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rhett McGinnis fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LKS Orkan Zapalow's protests and gave Rhett McGinnis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to LKS Orkan Zapalow getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rhett McGinnis hit a great ball. Eliseo Billings's late challenge caught a LKS Orkan Zapalow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Billings helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Van Horn getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Eliseo Billings hit a great ball. Eliseo Billings recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to LKS Orkan Zapalow getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Brendan Cortez hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Van Horn's goalkeeper Tanner Arden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tyrell Tharp.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tracy Diaz to strike the kick off in the second half. Tanner Arden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Raines in the 52nd minute of play. Stevie Horner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Tracy Diaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Raines's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tanner Arden was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Tanner Arden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Deaton, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrell Tharp in the 83rd minute of play forced Van Horn's goalkeeper Tanner Arden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Van Horn's goal looked a bit too open when Tyrell Tharp came free, but Tanner Arden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Tyrell Tharp notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Van Horn's Tanner Arden. Tanner Arden was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Van Horn's Tanner Arden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendan Cortez in the 94th minute of play. Tanner Arden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Raines in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LKS Orkan Zapalow fans cheered their team off the field, for while Van Horn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
