To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bob Roach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Varner, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, Savanna's Monte Cain got a free kick in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Savanna's Juan Acevedo got control of the ball when Dale Lester tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caleb Abel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Varner during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Dale Lester fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Juan Acevedo. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Xeneize FC's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dale Lester got free with Juan Acevedo in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the game, Giovanni Aragon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bob Roach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Giovanni Aragon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Lujan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Savanna getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Monte Cain hit a great ball. Giovanni Aragon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xeneize FC's goalkeeper Bob Roach, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tory Slaughter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bob Roach. Xeneize FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giovanni Aragon was the one to do the kick off. When Xeneize FC's Dale Lester in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 60th minute, Caleb Abel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Acevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 67 minutes into the match, Xeneize FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Aragon came free, but Bob Roach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Savanna's goalkeeper Juan Acevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Caleb Abel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Acevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caleb Abel in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Acevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 78 minutes, Sherman Lewis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savanna and the Xeneize FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodney Caudill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Juan Acevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Aragon in the 87th minute of play forced Xeneize FC's goalkeeper Bob Roach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Caleb Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xeneize FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Caleb Abel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Acevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the match, Xeneize FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Aragon came free, but Bob Roach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Marshall Hough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 96 minutes, Dale Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xeneize FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dale Lester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xeneize FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
