Romania's Emanuel Crețulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Wyrostek in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Wyrostek to maneuver through the defense. Gianluigi Donnarumma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Birișu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Avram Birișu made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avram Birișu in the 55th minute of play forced Poland's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Avram Birișu came free, but Gianluigi Donnarumma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romania's Denis Calota was substituted for Avram Birișu. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Romania's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustaw Petrasz was slow to take the kick. During this time Poland's players had a chance to rest. Zachary Czech scored 3-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Crețulescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zachary Czech in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Crețulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denis Calota received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gianluigi Donnarumma came out and tried to block the shot, but Denis Calota slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 91st minute. Poland's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
