In the 19th minute Maraman Bendicho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arjen Lucassen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Australia's goal looked a bit too open when Beti Siruendo came free, but Arjen Lucassen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arjen Lucassen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maraman Bendicho in the 27th minute of the match. Remy Bundy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Panfilo Tremiño when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Australia's Remy Bundy came free and shot a quick shot against goal 28 minutes in the game, fortunately Panfilo Tremiño had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Uruguay's Panfilo Tremiño proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Beti Siruendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Panfilo Tremiño successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Larkins Mcvey hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Australia's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Villaquiran came free, but Arjen Lucassen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Australia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ían Kilmister didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Maraman Bendicho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Arjen Lucassen made a huge save. In the 76th minute Belton Algoud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panfilo Tremiño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Belton Algoud ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Panfilo Tremiño was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belton Algoud in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Panfilo Tremiño saved Uruguay from getting behind. In the 95th minute, Belton Algoud made a precise shot to the right of Panfilo Tremiño. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Uruguay's Frascuelo Arizmendi was substituted for Beti Siruendo.

Australia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
