The wind increased when Sancho Artiz made the kick off in the second half. Brendanus McMichel struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Lander Arrugueta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ireland. Teddy Sheridan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Quintanilla in the 61st minute of play. Lander Arrugueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendanus McMichel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teddy Sheridan was a little too slow when Ricardo Quintanilla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 76th minute Brendanus McMichel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lander Arrugueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ikatz Larabiedra kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Colombia's Eskuin Machuca was substituted for Sancho Artiz. After 78 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Ikatz Larabiedra. Teddy Sheridan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Zaldo in the 86th minute of play. Alejandro Zaldo took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teddy Sheridan. Teddy Sheridan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Teddy Sheridan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ikatz Larabiedra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 92 minute of play. When the match was over Colombia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ireland throughout the match.
