If René Akrour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 11 minutes, René Akrour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MZ Country's supporters crossed their fingers, but René Akrour was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Constantin Lazãr threw the ball into play from the sideline. MZ Country's Salim Badis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Moldova's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Salim Badis was slow to take the kick. During this time MZ Country's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Amar Saïd-Guerni got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ovidiu Vornic quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 23rd minute, Amar Saïd-Guerni made a precise shot to the right of Ovidiu Vornic. Moldova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ovidiu Vornic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from René Akrour in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Moldova's Pavel Dobã sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida Ouadah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dida Ouadah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Ciocan, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by René Akrour in the 35th minute of play forced Moldova's goalkeeper Ovidiu Vornic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pavel Dobã got free with Dida Ouadah in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute Gicu Cãldare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Ouadah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cornel Ciocan made a kick off. Dida Ouadah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Ciocan in the 53rd minute of play. Dida Ouadah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Ciocan in the 54th minute of the match. If Ahmed Akrour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute of the match, René Akrour got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ovidiu Vornic was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. MZ Country's Dida Ouadah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Ciocan in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Cornel Ciocan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Ouadah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Moldova's Constantin Lazãr got a free kick in the 67th minute. Moldova made a substitution. Sergiu Cãpraru replaced Lilian Covali. Moldova's Maxim Doga was substituted for Eduard Vizitiu. A collision led to Moldova getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Constantin Lazãr hit a great ball. If René Akrour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute Cornel Ciocan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Ouadah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind MZ Country's goalkeeper Dida Ouadah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. René Akrour could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Vornic made a huge save. Ovidiu Vornic was a little too slow when René Akrour got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 1-2. With a little luck, Moldova's Ovidiu Vornic got control of the ball when René Akrour tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sergiu Cãpraru scored 2-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dida Ouadah, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. MZ Country succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Moldova had controlled the match.
