Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when David De Paredes got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes U21 South Africa got a freekick which was hit by Mpenza Madiba. 5 minutes into the match, U21 South Africa's goalkeeper Tyrell Mumede had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David De Paredes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joe Lao got free with Tyrell Mumede in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Sobenis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Mbule in the 7th minute of the match. U21 South Africa's Tyrell Mumede played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Quiros in the 9th minute of play. Fernando Sobenis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justice Zwane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Sobenis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Stoltz in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Felix Ríos suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Themba Madiya during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, James Stoltz managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 South Africa's supporters rose to their feet, but James Stoltz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Sobenis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando Sobenis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Themba Madiya, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of U21 Panama booed when U21 South Africa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justice Zwane didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd match minute, U21 Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Urane to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, U21 South Africa's Themba Madiya nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Sobenis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Mbule in the 56th minute of play forced U21 Panama's goalkeeper Fernando Sobenis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Urane helped the player get up and apologised. Justice Zwane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Sobenis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicholas Mbule in the 76th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Nicholas Mbule took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Fernando Sobenis to make any attempt to save it. Fernando Sobenis was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Nicholas Mbule capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nicholas Mbule really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After a rather tough play, U21 Panama's David De Paredes got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, James Stoltz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 South Africa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. U21 Panama's Fernando Sobenis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Panama from getting a goal against them. Fernando Sobenis came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 South Africa's James Stoltz. But to his dismay, James Stoltz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Sibongile Thabang kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. If Ramón Quiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The U21 Panama supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 South Africa's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 South Africa.
