Alvaro Lemma in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. With a little luck, Italy's Angelo Peruzzi got control of the ball when Demjan Sviderskyi tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Orest Sobko took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Angelo Peruzzi to make any attempt to save it. Italy made a substitution. After a defensive mix-up in Ukraine's zone, Florian Perazzolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodion Bodnya came out of the goal and Florian Perazzolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Peruzzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nazar Karamushka in the 88th minute of play. Italy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Yarema Stoyko scored to the left of an out of position Angelo Peruzzi, making the score, 2-5. In the 93rd minute Nazar Karamushka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Peruzzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Peruzzi was a little too slow when Nazar Karamushka got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 2-6. Ukraine's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
