Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Petre Vornicescu made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Adi Adıbelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Poland's Łukasz Fabiański played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Vornicescu in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Petre Vornicescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Romania fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Vornicescu came free, but Łukasz Fabiański reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teofil Bielecki kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Gheorghe Hagi came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the U21 Romania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gheorghe Hagi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Makowski in the 20th minute of play forced U21 Romania's goalkeeper Tudor Urdoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Rafal Makowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Romania's Tudor Urdoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafal Makowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Tudor Urdoi made a huge save. Łukasz Fabiański took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petre Vornicescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gheorghe Hagi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavius Zdrehuş charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavius Zdrehuş the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, U21 Romania's Flavius Zdrehuş got a free kick in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Codrin Valerian came free, but Łukasz Fabiański reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adi Adıbelli to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Waclaw Motyl charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waclaw Motyl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes U21 Poland got a freekick which was hit by Waclaw Motyl. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Makowski in the 57th minute of play forced U21 Romania's goalkeeper Tudor Urdoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Łukasz Fabiański took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Cocoș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patryk Mudry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 Romania made a substitution. Codruț Corbeanu replaced Petre Vornicescu. U21 Romania made a substitution. Teodor Mihăescu replaced Flavius Zdrehuş. 69 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codruț Corbeanu. If Codruț Corbeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Patryk Mudry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Dragoş Purcaru fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Romania's protests and gave Dragoş Purcaru a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of U21 Poland booed when U21 Romania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Purcaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Rafal Makowski came free, but Tudor Urdoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, U21 Romania's Șerban Volosin got a free kick in the 90th minute. Tudor Urdoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patryk Mudry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The U21 Poland fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. U21 Romania were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
