Cipriano Cabezas might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ourente Martioda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Cabezas ran back to his position shaking his head. 20 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Cabezas came free, but Ourente Martioda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
