An unexpectedly hard shot by Lowrey Lingwoodock in the 4th minute of play forced U21 Peru's goalkeeper Ramond Quiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glen Moss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jackson Orihuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Irwin Sobezak's late challenge caught a U21 Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irwin Sobezak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Irwin Sobezak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glen Moss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackson Orihuela in the 24th minute of the match. When Jackson Orihuela got free in front of the goal in the 24th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Glen Moss was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Paul Laime's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glen Moss read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, U21 Australia's Glen Moss got control of the ball when Paul Laime tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute, U21 Peru's Paul Laime dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 39th play minute Paul Laime came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Glen Moss. 2-0. In the 44th minute, Jackson Orihuela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glen Moss was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

U21 Australia's Lowrey Lingwoodock got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glen Moss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Laime in the 54th minute of play. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Jackson Orihuela sped through U21 Australia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Glen Moss. Keith Richards's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ramond Quiroga firmly grabbed it by the left post. Stanley Tencer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ramond Quiroga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. U21 Australia's Glen Moss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Laime in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of U21 Peru booed when U21 Australia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lowrey Lingwoodock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glen Moss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jackson Orihuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. U21 Peru's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
