In the 29th minute Inderpal Chawla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Zelaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of U21 India booed when U21 El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Castaneda didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Inderpal Chawla made the kick off in the second half. Krantivira Bhatt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Arnoldo Zelaya made a huge save. Asiddhartha Rama kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Cetino in the 55th minute of play forced U21 India's goalkeeper Prabhdeep Mallik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Zelaya in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Prabhdeep Mallik saved U21 India from getting behind. U21 India's Krantivira Bhatt got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. U21 India's Amanpreet Reddy was substituted for Asiddhartha Rama. If Avajyuta Rahul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, U21 India's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Zelaya came free, but Prabhdeep Mallik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Allan Villalobos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prabhdeep Mallik was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 78th minute Vikram Murthy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Zelaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vikram Murthy took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnoldo Zelaya. Arnoldo Zelaya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agadhi Rao during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes U21 India got a freekick which was hit by Agadhi Rao. U21 El Salvador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Vikram Murthy scored to the left of an out of position Arnoldo Zelaya, making the score, 2-2. After 90 minutes, Richard Castaneda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 El Salvador and the U21 India players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes U21 El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Richard Castaneda. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Vikram Murthy managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 India's supporters rose to their feet, but Vikram Murthy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnoldo Zelaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The U21 India players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented U21 El Salvador from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
