The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Costante got free with Deris Flamenco in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deris Flamenco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Fertus in the 80th minute of play. Jonathan Sifon hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Deris Flamenco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andres Costante went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After 92nd play minutes Fernan Fertus shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Deris Flamenco and just under the crossbar into goal. U21 Argentina's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
