Ekadhipati Dhanoa came out and tried to block the shot, but Bressail McIan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 2nd minute. After a rather tough play, U21 India's Dandavirya Siamkhuma got a free kick in the 6th minute. Bressail McIan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ekadhipati Dhanoa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ekadhipati Dhanoa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bressail McIan in the 9th minute. U21 Ireland's Bairrionn Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bhrajistha Dey in the 13th minute of play. Bairrionn Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gul Rane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bairrionn Callaghan came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 India's Gul Rane. But to his dismay, Gul Rane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, U21 Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Bhrajistha Dey came free, but Bairrionn Callaghan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gul Rane in the 26th minute of play forced U21 Ireland's goalkeeper Bairrionn Callaghan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bairrionn Callaghan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gul Rane in the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Bhrajistha Dey managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 India's supporters rose to their feet, but Bhrajistha Dey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bairrionn Callaghan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 minutes, Bardon McNamee made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. U21 India's Ekadhipati Dhanoa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bressail McIan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baoithin Rutherford hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Bairrionn Callaghan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gul Rane in the 67th minute of the match. Bairrionn Callaghan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durdamana Das in the 69th minute of play. After 75 played minutes U21 Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Bowen Gillmour. U21 Ireland's Bairrionn Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antara Bal in the 76th minute of play. U21 India's Kudhara Sharma was substituted for Bhrajistha Dey. After 78 played minutes U21 India got a freekick which was hit by Ana Khahera. Bairrionn Callaghan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kudhara Sharma in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match U21 India got a corner. U21 Ireland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Durdamana Das ran over to the corner to take the kick. 87 minutes into the match, Shamsher Sukhija notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of U21 Ireland's Bairrionn Callaghan. Bairrionn Callaghan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kudhara Sharma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gul Rane succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-5.
