It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alberto Usuriaga kicked off to start the match. Bartosz Komanski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Witold Bycofski in the 4th minute. U21 Poland's André Onana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Szpakowski in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Bernard Liermann threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Poland's Mariusz Truskovskiy quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Witold Bycofski in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bartosz Komanski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 11 minutes into the match, Yara Poland's goalkeeper Bartosz Komanski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Witold Bycofski. In the 14th minute, Witold Bycofski made a precise shot to the right of Bartosz Komanski. Yara Poland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Bartosz Komanski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariusz Truskovskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Edward Szpakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Onana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartosz Komanski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Kuszczak in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Yara Poland's goalkeeper Bartosz Komanski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Witold Bycofski. In the 26th minute of the match U21 Poland got a corner. Yara Poland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zdzislaw Rydzewski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bartosz Komanski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jakub Kuszczak's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute, U21 Poland's Witold Bycofski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bartosz Komanski. Bartosz Komanski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. André Onana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Barbosa in the 36th minute of play. Witold Bycofski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Bartosz Komanski made a huge save. André Onana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Szpakowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60thth minute of the game Witold Bycofski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yara Poland's Bartosz Komanski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Witold Bycofski took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bartosz Komanski. Bartosz Komanski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. U21 Poland's Grzegorz Czerwinski was substituted for Witold Bycofski. Mariusz Truskovskiy might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartosz Komanski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariusz Truskovskiy ran back to his position shaking his head. André Onana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Usuriaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Barbosa came free, but André Onana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jakub Kuszczak struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Bartosz Komanski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Poland. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wieslaw Cichocki during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zbyszek Wojtyna was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, one of U21 Poland:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. André Onana had in the 99thth minute some difficulties stopping Radomil Lagiewniki's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 99 minutes into the match, Radomil Lagiewniki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Onana. U21 Poland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radomil Lagiewniki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yara Poland players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Poland.
